Laurin Dale Dean Roths, age 83 of Pensacola, died on October 11, 2005 in Pensacola.

Laurin Dale was born in St. Stephens , AL to Jack and Daisy Turner. She was the youngest daughter of ten children. During WWII, she proudly served as a Wave in the Navy then attended the University of Alabama. After marrying Walter Dean in Ft. Walton Beach, they moved to Pensacola. Dale was active in many clubs and civic organizations. Following the death of Mr. Dean, Dale was involved in the business community of Northwest Florida. In 1997, she married her loving husband, John Roths. They shared a wonderfully devoted life together. Dale will always be remembered for her love of family, church and music. Her vivacious personality lifted the spirit of all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Marie Robards, Lena Clark, William Turner, Emma Malone, Frank Turner, Jack Turner, Jr. and Ruth Gray.

She is survived by her husband, John; son, John Dean (Mae); grandchildren, John and Rebecca Dean, and Judy, Joe and Joey S. Schomer; sister, Daisy Sonell (Joe); brother, Henry Pete Turner (Ramona); daughter-in-law, Alice Lou Schomer (Joe) of Ellingsburg, WA; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14, 2005 at 1:15 p.m. at Waters and Hibbert Chapel with Dr. Henry Roberts, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Anthony Baroco, Al Fryer, Basil Bethea III, Larry Matthews, Scott Eqstad and Frank Turner

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church at 6 E. Wright St.
