Allen and Janine Turner and their children, Linda "Sam", Scott, Natalie, and Rick moved to San Diego in 1972. Sam graduated from Granite Hills High School in 1977. After graduation she began a career working for the phone company, AT&T; she retired in 2010 after 33 years of service.
In 1984 she married her high school sweetheart Jeff Simpson. A few years later, they purchased a home in Descanso and started a family. She was a devoted mother to three beautiful children, Jeffrey, Amanda and Lora.
She enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, photography and baking. She was loved and will be missed by many people.
Sam Battled breast cancer for 9 years.
