Mrs. Anna Mary Hammer, widow of William H. Hammer, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse D. Brandl. 1930 Logan avenue, Saturday at 3.25 p. m. after several months' illness.
She was born at Sugar Run, Logan township, Feb. 16, 1865, a daughter of John and Mary (Igou) Turnbaugh. Her husband died March 25, 1938.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Harry, Oklahoma; Roy, William C. and Ralph, all of the city; and Mrs. Margaret Brandt; six grandchildren, and five brothers, John Turnbaugh, Duncansville; James and Frank of the city; Charles, North Dakota, and George of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Hammer was a charter member of the Third United Brethren church and a member of the Helping Hand Sunday school class.
Friends will be received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home until 11 a. m. Tuesday and after that at the Third United Brethren church. Page 24.
HAMMERS - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mary Hammer, 1930 Logan Avenue, will be held from the Third United Brethren church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. J. Thompson, pastor. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home until 11 a.m. Tuesday and after that at the church.
