DANVILLE - Medorah Tune Beale, 78, of 231 S. Ridge Street, Apt. 402, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at her residence.
Born Feb. 28, 1928, in Danville, she was a daughter of Charlie James Tune and Nadine Betterton Tune.
She graduated from Spring Garden High School and Lynchburg Business College. She retired from Womack Press, Chatham office. She was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church.
She was married to the late Harper Thomas Beale, who predeceased her on Jan. 29, 1994.
She is survived by a son, Charlie T. Beale of Danville; a daughter, Nadine B. Henderson of Chatham; three sisters, Mary Bradsear of Washington state, Susan Farley of Virginia Beach, and Betty Braithwaote of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; two brothers, Frederick "Boots" Farley of Rossella, Ill. and Charles "Buddy" Farley of Murritta, Ohio; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, David Nelson Tune.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roger Ewing and the Rev. Paul Parker officiating.
The family will receive friends after the funeral and other times at the son's residence, 5037 Worsham Court.
Memorials may be made to Full Gospel Fellowship Church Building Fund.
