Peggy was the wife of the late Johnny Burke with whom she owned and operated Burke's Grocery in Ewing.
Peggy was born in Ewing, September 20, 1951, to the late James L. and Aletha Hinton Tumey.
Peggy is survived by a daughter, Darla (Danny) Tucker of Ewing; two grandchildren, Danicelle (Travis) Hickerson and Daulton Tucker, both of Ewing; and one granddaughter who will come into this world in February 2014; and three sisters, Marla (Don) Feeney of Fairview, and Diann (Wayne) Hensley of London, KY; and the late Patsy Helton who was the wife of James "Poppy" Helton. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were Friday, December 27, 2013, at Price Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Grimes officiated and interment was in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Lawrence Helton, James Helton, Dennis Helton, Donald Feeney Jr., James Caudill, Brian Thompson and Paul Gilbert.
