Olive May Tullis Birch was the daughter of William Paul Tullis and Jennie (Daugherty) Tullis.
In the 1900 federal census, when Olive was 4, her family was living in Larimer County, Colorado: William P. Tullis, born September 1867, age 32, farmer; wife Jennie, born October 1871, age 28; and 2 children, Olive, born June 1896, age 4, and Ivy, born April 1897, age 3. Olive's paternal uncle Charles W. Tullis 29 was also living in the home.
By the time Olive was 14, her father had remarried and they are listed in the 1910 census in Larimer County, Colorado in this way: William Tullis 42, farmer, married for 5 years to Essie W. 26, and 3 children, William P. 4, Charlotte E. 2, and Mary M. 11 months. Also in the home were William's older children, Olive 14, and Ivie 13. Olive's paternal uncle John Tullis age 27 was also living with the family.
Olive was married June 30, 1917 in Carthage, Missouri, to Christopher Columbus Birch (1887-1947). They had 6 known children. Olive was divorced at the time of her death.
