CHRISTOPHER -- Edith Allen, 68, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, in Herrin Hospital.
She was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Du Quoin, to Edward and Edith (Castelle) Tucker.
Edith married Wilford Allen, and he survives of Christopher.
Survivors include Laurie and Bob Boner of Buckner; grandchildren, Whitni Hale and Benen Kelly; and brothers and sisters, Naomi Kash of Benton, Mary Bloom of Sesser, Clyde Tucker of Christopher, George Tucker of Zeigler and Rita Tucker of Olney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with Brother Mark Miller officiating. Interment will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at the funeral home.
