Helen T. Sharp, born December 15, 1913, died July 14, 2011. She resided at 3363 South Honeycut Road (1820 East) in East Millcreek, Utah at the time of her death.
Born in Fairview, Utah, her family later relocated to Delta, Utah. Married Melvin H. Sharp. Mel and Helen had three children; Ronald (died shortly after birth), Shar Leigh and Burnell (deceased April 1, 2010). Helen had three sisters, Mable, Winnie, Edna, and one brother Vard Tucker (all deceased).
She appreciated and loved all of her grandchildren and for several years of love and joy with Little One, her little black and white dog (also deceased). Mom was a great cook. She opened the Delta Café. After moving to Salt Lake she managed kitchens for several companies.
Mom loved to go fishing at Fish Lake and her family always came first. Being the only one left in the family, I'd like to thank everyone at Country Care Home and Lighthouse Hospice. Everyone treated my mother as if she was their own mother. A special thanks to Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary for making a very sad situation more peaceful. They are the best.
Prior to the graveside, a viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, Utah.
Graveside Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Our remembrances of Helen are ones that are with great respect for a beautiful person with a host of admiring qualities. She was a very remarkable lady for her age, alert giving and very loving. She never spoke any hatred or demeaning words toward anyone. Always carried herself with dignity and was loathe to be caught unexpectadely without makeup, and dress in proper fashion. Generous with her words of praise toward anyone she spoke of, and always a warm welcome when visiting her. Helen has a special place in our Hearts and will be remembered that way. We will miss her very, very much.
