Services for Alma G. (Tucker) Barstow, 101, of Chester Township, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Barstow died Nov. 15, 2004, at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury Township.
Born April 28, 1903, in Concord Township, she was a longtime Chester Township resident.
She was a member of Pythian Sisters Lodge in Chester Township and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Chagrin Falls. She touched all of our lives in a special way and will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Barstow was a bookkeeper for Osborne, Inc. in Mentor from 1948 until her retirement in 1961. She was formerly employed by Addressograph-Multigraph in Euclid from 1942 to 1944, and Ohio Rubber Company in Willoughby from 1944 to 1948.
Survivors are her daughter, Phyllis J. (Roy) Ditto of Chester Township; grandchildren, Peggy (Tom) Havlicek of Hartsgrove, Nancy (Phillip) Aloi of Chester Township, Dale Ditto of Jensen Beach, Fla., Cathy Morgan of Melbourne, Fla., Jim Barstow of Ohio and Dennis Hearn of New York, N.Y.; 13 great-grandchildren; and 12 great- great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Lewis E. Barstow, died in 1983; her former husband, Gail Jacobs, died in 1965; and son, Glenn "Bud" Barstow, died in 1986. Her stepdaughter, Alice Jacobs Hearn; grandson, Mark Barstow; great-grandson, Stephen Barstow; two sisters; and three brothers, are also deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Elder Kenneth Sowers of Prince of Peace Church in Mentor will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
