Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery by Johnson Moore Funeral Home.
The Lord called her home while surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
Jackie was born Feb. 27, 1941, in Plainview, daughter of Arthur and Zola Tubb. She married Billy King on July 4, 1957, in Plainview. Two years ago, Billy and Jackie celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Before her illness, she was an active member of First Baptist Church. She taught preschool children in Sunday school and vacation Bible school for many years, known affectionately as "Grandma Jackie." She also served on the benevolence committee as chairwoman until her health no longer allowed her to. Jackie also was a member of the budget and finance committee.
Family was the greatest love of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Throughout the years, she had been encourager, confidant, protector, best friend and a role model for her family. One of the most amazing things was that she showered her friends with the same unconditional love she showed her family.
Billy wants to send a special thank you to Anderson Merchandisers and Debbie Johnson. During the 50 years Billy worked for the company, Jackie was known for her love and kindness to all the associates.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Tubb.
Survivors include her husband, Billy King; two daughters, Janice Nicholson and husband Bill of Fairview and Kelly Williams and husband Jay of Edmond, Okla.; a sister, JoAnn Williams and husband Jack of Lago Vista; and five grandchildren, Jayma Williams, Daniellle Nicholson Barrett, Lynley Nicholson, Jordan Williams and JaCoby Williams.
The family suggests memorials be to youth ministry, First Baptist Church, 601 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020.
