Christina Lee Glasstetter, 45, of Springfield, Mo., passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was born September 19, 1965 in St. Louis, Mo., to James Floyd and Roberta Carrolyn (Turner) Tubb.
Throughout her life, Christina surrounded herself with those she held dear. In her youth, she enjoyed swimming, being with friends, and was passionate about dance. Dance would always remain a part of her life as Christina could often be found in the living room, dancing to Elvis. As time progressed her interests expanded to include planning family trips, shopping and music.
Christina had a particular fondness for the piano which she both listened to and played. Christina was also a devoted mother and grandmother. Whenever there was a need, she would drop everything to help. Her devotion to her grandsons was admirable and they adored her and always wanted to go to "Grammy's" house.
Christina also had another passion, animals. She was very concerned about the well-being of all animals and would often take in stray cats or dogs and care for them. She often made donations to the animal shelters in town.
Christina was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She touched the heart of every person and animal that knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Christina is survived by her husband, Quinton Glasstetter; daughter, Amber Collier; son, Ryan Glasstetter; son, Evan Glasstetter; parents, James and Carrolyn Tubb; sister, Marilyn McKinley; many family members, friends, four nieces and nephews, and three grandsons.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 12 to 2 p.m., in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo., with Reverend Russell Sanders officiating funeral service at 2 p.m.
