TRUJILLO: Lydia Acosta "Mary Jane" Trujillo, 65, a resident of Silver City and Reserve, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Baca's Funeral Chapels, with the prayer vigil beginning at 6. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Monday at 1 in the afternoon at Santo Niņo Catholic Church in Aragon, with Father Don Richardson officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow at the Aragon Cemetery. Mrs. Trujillo was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Alma to Eliseo B. "Chief" and Mary Jane (Armijo) Acosta. She was self-employed in the bar and restaurant business. She had owned and run the Past Time Bar and Restaurant in Reserve. She was best known for her cooking. Governors would stop at her restaurant to eat when they were in the area. She presently owned and ran the Buffalo Bar with her husband. Before getting into the bar and restaurant business, she worked for the Postal Service. She enjoyed painting, quilting, designing clothes, and being around children and grandchildren. She loved canning and cooking, making jewelry, dancing and shopping. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She enjoyed decorating and making Christmas wreaths. She was very active in the rodeo circuit. She enjoyed feeding and caring for all the rodeo cowboys. Mrs. Trujillo is survived by her husband, Sam Trujillo of the home; and three sons, Dennis W. Trujillo of Silver City, Michael Dee Trujillo and wife, Joni, of Silver City, and Steve Trujillo and wife, Pattie, of Apache Creek. She is also survived by Lashey Jacobs, and husband, Joe, of Silver City, whom Mary Jane loved and thought of as a daughter; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearly "Little Aunt Pearl" Hill; her dear aunt and uncle, Joe and Candy Foulenfount; and nephew, Robert Hill. Casket bearers will be Clovis Trujillo, Cameron Trujillo, Little Sam Trujillo, Joe Hill, Robert Jasso and Pecos Peralta. Honorary bearers will be her many friends, family members, business associates and patrons. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels
