Birth: Apr. 14, 1947
New Mexico, USA
Death: Nov. 23, 2005
California, USA

Mrs. Lorraine A. Atencio died on November 23, 2005.

Lorraine was born April 14, 1947 in El Rancho, New Mexico to Narciso & Delia Trujillo. She was the eldest of five sisters. She graduated from Pojoaque high school then worked as a teachers aid at El Rancho Elementery till she married Ted Atencio on April 20, 1968.

They made their home in San Bernardino, Ca. for almost 14 years then moved to Highland, Ca. where they lived till she passed to eternal life. She stayed home to take care of numerous children from various families. In 1982 their son Joshua was born who was the joy of their life and made her so very proud and happy. She was also God'mother to several children and loved each and everyone like if they were her very own.

During the summers she would take some of the older children to Sea World in San Diego or some other amusement park for a day of fun. She enjoyed all her children and would do anything for any of them. She was also loved by all her children not only as their baby-sitter but as the person that gave them more love then they would get anywhere else.

During the Holidays she would give them a party for Halloween, Christmas and a birthday party for each of them on their birthday. During school she would pick them up and always took them to wherever they wanted to go for a treat. She started to take care of Allison when she first came to San Bernardino, Ca. in 1968 and from then on it was word of mouth that she was the best baby-sitter and she truly enjoyed careing for each and everyone of them.

She took a break when cancer was discovered in 2001 but later she said that she missed her kids too much so she went back to careing for them because they made her feel good. We will all miss her very much but we also know that she is at peace and not suffering anymore. Rest in Peace! WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU NINA!
