Angelica, a native of Truchas and former resident of Santa Cruz, passed away in Albuquerque where she resided for many years. She was predeceased by parents Matias Romero and Timotea Dominguez-Romero; first husband Alfonso Trujillo (D: 1964); second husband Simon Griego (D: Dec 1987).

Angelica was survived by sons: Ignacio Trujillo of Arroyo Seco and Dionicio Trujillo of Albuquerque; 4 daughters: Juanita Vigil of Edgewood, Colorado; Margaret Rodriguez of Santa Fe, Martha Herrera and Helen Ortiz, both of Albuquerque; 31 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Angelica was the great-great-granddaughter of Pedro Dominguez who carved the door for Santuario de Chimayo in 1816. Angelica followed her teacher Millie Perkins from the Velarde Mission school to become the first student boarder to attend Edith McCurdy Mission School in 1915. There, she met her first husband Alfonso Trujillo of Santa Cruz. They eloped to Santa Fe in 1921. They established "Rancho del Amigo" in Santa Cruz and during the Great Depression sold milk and eggs to WPA workers. They sold their rancho in 1954 and moved to Albuquerque. The rancho became the home of former Espaņola mayor Connie Thompson and her husband. Angelica provided childcare in Albuquerque and boasted that more than 60 children called her grandma. In 1969, she remarried to Simon Griego of Tijeras.

Funeral services were on Sept 14th in Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz. Pallbearers: Alfonso Trujillo, David Trujillo, Tobias Herrera, Anthony Ortiz, Patty Bailey, and Bernadette Ault.
