Ernestine, formerly of Vallecitos and resident of Espaņola, passed away in St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. She was predeceased by parents Rafael and Refugio Trujillo; and husband Maximiano Chavez.
Ernestine was survived by son Ralph Trujillo of Albuquerque; 5 daughters: Pauline Irons and Maxine Vigil of San Mateo, California; Cleo Herrera of Arlington, Texas; Elda MArtinez of La Mesilla; and Donna M. Pflaum of South Carolina; 4 sisters: Darita Martinez, Josefa Madrid, Porfie Rivera, and Ramona Martinez, all of Espaņola; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Ernestina was a member of the Espaņola Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services were on 11 Aug 1995 in Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ralph Trujillo Jr., James Vigil, Max Trujillo, Richard Herrera, Duane Martinez, and Mel Jaramillo.
