Tillie, of Cuarteles, New Mexico, passed away in her home. on January 14, 2006, following a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents Guadalupita and Ramon R. Quintana; grandson Daniel Lee Payne; brothers: Tony, Cenobio, and Mike Quintana; and brother-in-law Chuck Haygood.

Tillie was survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ross Trujillo; daughters: Carmen "Betty" Payne of the Espaņola Valley and Shirley (husband Gilbert Madrid) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandchildren: Paula (husband Wade Velten) of Springfield, Illinois; Gil Madrid Jr. (wife Laura) of Atlanta, Georgia; Kenneth Madrid (wife Mara) of Plantation, Florida; great-grandchildren: Danielle Mullendore, Lauren Velten, Gil Dempsey, Isabella, Jacey, and Jack Ross Madrid; foster son Ronnie Lopez(Anna); sisters: Flora (husband Ruben Salazar), Mary Haygood, and Celine (husband Lloyd Luper); sisters-in-law: Minnie, Mattie and Celida Quintana; nieces and nephews: Diane Santillanes (John), Yolanda Salazar, Judy Bulnes(Jose), Johnny Salazar (Lynn), Steven Montoya (Fran), Debbie Montoya (Frank), Patsy Sandoval (Levi), Cecelia Olivas (Frank), Leroy Quintana (Carolyn), Bobby Quintana(Phyllis); Patrick (Sandy), Michael (Choly), and Phillip (Michelle) Luper, and Maria Parker (David); Michael Quintana; Josephine Mora (David); Louise Romero (Giovani); Laura Gonzales (Michael); Darlene Arellano (Gerald), and Amy Martinez; and Michael Quintana.

Tillie devotedly made the rounds to the far reaches of Rio Arriba, Taos and Sandoval Counties on the State library bookmobile for 18-1/2 years. She retired from the State in 1982. Prior to her employment with the State, she worked at the Santa Cruz Irrigation District for many years.

A Rosary was recited on January 15, 2006 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada. Mass of Christian Burial was on January 16, 2006 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada. Burial followed in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Gil Madrid, Ken Madrid, Jesse Maestas, Daniel Bulnes, Steven Montoya, and Lloyd Luper. Honorary pallbearers: Paula Velten and Cecilia Olivas.
