LaDean Herrs was born May 28, 1940, in Steele City, Neb., to Ernest and Hilda Oestreich True. She attended Zion Lutheran School, Linn.
She graduated from Linn Rural High School in 1958 as class salutatorian.
She married Harvey Herrs on Aug. 31, 1958, at Zion Lutheran Church.
They lived and farmed west of Linn.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Linn, the Dorcas Society and the prayer chain.
She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's activities, baking, gardening, quilting and having her nieces and nephews spend the summer helping on the family farm.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Herrs of the home; sons, Kent and Dean, both of Linn; daughters, Jayne Lehman, Linn, and Lisa Dieckmann, Clay Center; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Donette Oehmke, Linn; and three brothers, Bill True, Yakima, Wash., Noel True, Washington, and Neal True, Downs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary Ann; infant brother, Robert; sisters, Patricia True and Jeralee Beikmann; infant grandson, Jaden Dieckmann, in 2002; Memorial contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Linn.
