Leonora Trout Bolster, 85, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Hugh Henry Trout and Leonora Cocke Trout.

Mrs. Bolster was a renowned artist and art teacher in the Roanoke area for many years.

Mrs. Bolster was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Bolster; two brothers, Dr. Hugh Henry Trout, Dr. Philip Cocke Trout.

Surviving are her half sister, Alice Hagan, Roanoke; half brother, Albert Trout, Maryland. Mrs. Bolster is also survived by four sons, a daughter, and their spouses, all of whom adored her and will miss her greatly: David and Sue Bolster, Durham, N.C., William and Laura Bolster, Roanoke, Hugh and Carolyn Bolster, Beaufort, S.C., Herman Kennedy Bolster, Virginia Beach, Barbara and Melvin Davidson, Bellingham, Wash. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. G. Ernest Deyerle on Saturday, July 15, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the Cocke Family Cemetery, Hollins College. The family will receive friends at the family home immediately after the service. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
