Myron B. ‘Mick' Trout

Myron B. "Mick" Trout, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at his residence in Franklin.

He was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Franklin. His parents were Corwin and Clara (Dragoo) Trout. He married Theresa "Marilyn" (Bicknell) Trout on May 8, 1955. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tim Trout of Indianapolis and Jay Trout of Franklin; a daughter, Theresa Stephenson of Franklin; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stan Trout.

He graduated from Franklin High School in 1951 and from Indiana University in 1954. He earned a master's degree from George Washington University.

He was employed by Wishard Memorial Hospital as a finance officer and by Indiana Farm Bureau as a treasurer for 14 years.

He was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church, Valley Riders Saddle Club and Hoosier Palomino Association. He enjoyed showing horses.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a finance officer and comptroller for 20 years and retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1975.

The Rev. John Sowers will conduct a service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
