Effie Tromblay, 78, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Petoskey, died Friday, Nov. 22, 1985, at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the Stinson-Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Albert Frevert of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan.
Mrs. Tromblay was born on May 29, 1907, in Dick to Charles and Fannie (Howard) Maddix. She married Arthur Tromblay on Sept. 22, 1932, in St. Ignace.
Mrs. Tromblay was a resident of Mt. Pleasant for the past 18 months after moving from Petoskey. She was a Licensed Psychiatric Attending Nurse and was employed at the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center for Developmental Disabilities as a supervisor and LPAN for 25 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant and a former member of the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; a daughter, Donna Hafer of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Charles Maddix of Rexton; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
