Mrs. Goldie Virginia Gosnell, 93, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, MD with her Son Wayne Gosnell by her side. Born September 10, 1920 in Lovettsville Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Homer Tritapoe and Goldie Loudelle Mann Tritapoe. She was the wife of Charles E. Gosnell who preceded her in 1998. They had been married for over 50 years. Goldie was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Brunswick and also attended the Pioneer Baptist Church in Thurmont MD. Early in her life she was saved and Baptized at the Church of God in Brunswick. She was a stay at home Mom who loved her children, grandchildren and as well a very loving wife. She is survived by two daughters, Stella V. Sigler and husband John of Sebring, Fl; Debora L. Stream and husband John of Knoxville, MD. Three sons, Lester Deneen, Jr. and wife Betty of Brunswick, Rev. Wayne Gosnell and wife Christina of WV; and Dennis E. Gosnell and wife Sherry of Hagerstown MD; 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sister's Gladys Fawley, Mildred Webber and Catherine Schroyer, Brother's Burnett Tritapoe, Russell Tritapoe and Richard Tritapoe, a daughter Myrtle Louise Deneen and a Granddaughter Terri Deneen. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening January 28, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick MD 21716. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at the Brunswick First Church of God, 503 Brunswick St, Brunswick with the Rev. Wayne E. Gosnell and Pastor Larry E. Turbyfield officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy. Frederick MD 21701. In Mrs. Gosnell's memory contributions may be made to the Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmel Road, Mt. Airy, MD, 21771. Professional Services have been provided by the John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick MD.
