The 1880 United States Federal Census for Union, Erie County, Pennsylvania shows Grace M Triscuit, 13 years old, and a school girl along with her sister Nellie M, age 11. Their brother, J.Guy Triscuit is 7 and also in school. They have a little sister Jennie H.; she’s 2. Their mother, Amy (Estee), is 35 and their father, Jefferson, is 45 and a farmer. All were born in Pennsylvania.
Grace’s grandfather, Ansel Estee (1808-1892) born in New York, is a widower and 73 years old; his wife Phebe (1812-1873) has died, so Ansel lives with their daughter Amy’s family.
Also in the household is Maria Triscuit Kenney, born in Pennsylvania, sister of Jefferson Triscuit. She is 34 and widowed or divorced.
GRACE M. TRISUIT FORD is shown as married for ten years to Frederick Ford on the 1900 United States Federal Census. The couple live in Silver Creek Village, Hanover, Chautauqua County, New York with their only child, a daughter of six years, Gladys M, born March 1894 in Pennsylvania. Grace M. is 33. Frederick, born March 1865, is 35 and works as a railroad agent.
The 1905 New York State Census confirms that Frederick is a railroad agent, 40 years of age, and living with his wife, Grace, 39, and their daughter, Gladys, 11, is in 9th grade. They still reside in the Village of Silver Creek, Township of Hanover.
The 1910 United States Federal Census shows the Ford Family owning with mortgage their residence at 11 Jackson Street in Hanover, New York. Frederick, now 44, continues to work as an agent for the railroad. Grace M is 43 and daughter Gladys is 16.
The 1920 United States Federal Census shows Fred T, 54, and Grace ‘T‘, 53, still living at 11 Jackson Street in Silver Creek Village, Hanover, New York. Fred is now a salaried clerk in an office.
The 1925 New York State Census shows Grace, 59, residing at 11 Jackson Street, Hanover with husband Fred who is now 60 and working in traffic management.
The 1930 United States Federal Census shows Fred T, 65, and Grace ‘T‘, 63, now owning their home in Silver Creek Village at 11 Jackson Street; it is valued at $12,000; they even own a radio set. The couple has been married forty years. Fred T is a routing clerk in a milling machine company.
The 1940 United States Federal Census shows Grace, 73, to be a widow and still residing in her home at 11 Jackson Street. Her home is now valued at $6500. The Census states that she has now completed two years of college. She has three lodgers: Paul Dietrick, 33, and George Christian, 22, from New York and Helmet Munzeeheimer, 21, from Germany.
Grace died in 1947 (roughly age 81) and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Union, Erie, Pennsylvania with the husband she married at age 23. They were married 46 or 47 years.
