Janet E. Tripp, 52, of Livermore Falls, died Friday, June 15, 2012, in Lewiston.
She was born a few weeks too early and died far too soon. And if the measure of greatness is how much a person is missed when they are gone, then Janet Tripp was a great lady indeed.
Janet was born on Nov. 18, 1959, lived in Livermore Falls, and died peacefully with her family on June 15, 2012. From the time of her birth, she seemed to be dealt a difficult hand by life. Even when facing the diagnosis of breast cancer 13 years ago, she maintained a positive attitude, never complained, and did what she could to live a full life. She loved to travel, and she loved her Boston Red Sox. Her favorite days were spent at Old Orchard Beach and on journeys to Ireland, London and Paris. Perhaps the highlight of her life was being at Fenway when the Red Sox won Game 7 of the ACLS in 2007. She will be remembered for her brilliant memory, knowledge of all things Christmas and Red Sox, and her easy laugh. We are better people for having Janet in our lives.
Janet graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1979 and worked at Hannaford Supermarkets.
She was predeceased by her twin sister, Jean.
Burial at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
