Clarrene Tribble Blossom

Clarrene Tribble Blossom, widow of Virgil T. Blossom, died peacefully in the presence of family on September 1, 2002, at the age of 93. She was born in DeQueen, Arkansas, the daughter of Maude Evie and Thomas Samuel Tribble. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she met Virgil Tracy Blossom, whom she married on August 2, 1934 in a triple wedding with her sisters, Mary Jane and Loree, and their grooms Harrison Hale and Marvin Melton. Dr. Blossom, former Superintendent of Northeast Independent School District, preceded Mrs. Blossom in death by 3 years. A member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Chapter AL P.E.O. and a dedicated volunteer, she offered her talents and service to several other community organizations over the years. Mrs. Blossom will be remembered for her strong faith, love of family, loyalty to friends, positive attitude and keen sense of humor. She was a wonderful cook with a passion for good food, serving as a gracious hostess to countless friends and family. Mrs. Blossom is survived by: her daughters, Susie Streng of Littleton, Colorado and Gail Moore and son-in-law, Jerry of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Steve Deane, Lisa Evans, Tracy Chandler, Lesley Moore and Caroline Broadfoot; four great grandchildren, Zachary and Halle Chandler and Marshall and Sumner Broadfoot; and a niece, Nancy Hale Cobb. The family expresses gratitude for the loving care and friendship of The Forum at Lincoln Heights, Hope Lopez and the Staff of the Odyssey Hospice. MEMORIAL SERVICE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 5, 200211:00 A.M. ST. ANDREWS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 722 ROBINHOOD PLACE the Rev. S. Merle Waters officiating.
