HEALDTON -- Services for Doyle Treadwell, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Walker and the Rev. Philip Fox officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Treadwell was born March 14, 1912, at Hector, Ark., to William A. and Emma Story Treadwell. He died June 5, 2000, at his residence.
He moved with his family to Paoli and worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Oklahoma City and Los Angeles before working as a shooter for Magnolia Pipeline. He lived in several states before moving to Healdton in August 1950. He retired from Mobil Oil Company as a gang foreman. He was a member of First Baptist Church and International Order of Odd Fellows. He and Martha Calgar Fore were married April 1, 1967, in Healdton. He was preceded in death by his wife April 18, 1998; 12 brothers and sisters; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Bob and Mark K., Healdton; a daughter, Pat Moore, Burneyville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Dewey Teague, Robert Sullivent, Virgil Warrington, Ronnie Parker, Rodney and W.W. Phillips, Ray Pearson. Honorary bearers are grandsons, Robert, Stephen, Mark, David and Devon Treadwell.
