Johnny Traynor, 80, of Fort Pierce, died November 23,2006, in Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. Traynor was born in Fort Pierce and was a life-long resident.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy. He retired in 1987 after 30 years with the Florida Department of Transportation.

He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Tyson Traynor of Fort Pierce; 2 daughters, Irene Bagnell and Linda Grogan both of Fort Pierce; 1 granddaughter, Angela Henehan; 3 great-grandchildren, Kelly, Erin and Luke; sister, Edna Mae Burgess of Fort Worth, TX; and brother, Maurice Robert Traynor of South Dakota.

Mr. Traynor is preceded in death by his parents, Edward James Traynor and Lillie Mae Rimes Traynor, pioneer settlers of Saint Lucie County; daughter, Brenda Joan Traynor; grandson, Trent Sanders; two brothers, James Traynor and Edward Traynor; and a sister, Annie Mae Traynor.

Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Sunday, November 26th at Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 27th at White City Cemetery, Fort Pierce.
