A memorial gathering for Betty Lou Burke of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.
Private family interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
Ms. Burke died Oct. 27, 2000, in Providence Medical Center, Portland. She was 55.
She was born Jan. 12, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of David and Lorna Traxler. She was raised and educated in Troutdale. After high school, she moved to Portland.
She worked for Northwest Transfer and Oregon Transfer in Portland for many years. She had lived in McMinnville since 1980.
She owned the New LaTrayant Salon and Beautique in McMinnville and also worked in sales for many years. She belonged to the New Horizons Church, McMinnville.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Lynn Baker of McMinnville; two stepdaughters, Kelly Burke of San Ramon, Calif., and Shannon Harvey of Gail, Calif.; two stepsons, Terry Burke of Portland and John Burke of Camas, Wash.; two sisters, Judy Sitser of Boring and Ellen Tarr of Molalla; three brothers, Dennis Traxler of Sandy, Larry Traxler of Corbett and Paul Traxler of Puyallup, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Betty Burke Memorial Fund, in care of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
