in Smithville's web site. Obit posted on Sunday 5 August 2001. "BAILEY - 71 year old Betty Jean Trapp Bailey died Saturday morning in Glendale, California.
She received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics at Tennessee Tech in 1948.
She was director of Huntville Hospital Child Care Facility from 1970 to 1974 and worked in the Hamilton County Extension Office as director for the county 4-H club program from 1974 until 1985. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
The funeral will be Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m.
She is survived by a son, W. Lee Bailey, an M.D. of Los Angeles, California. A daughter Beth C. Crumley of Seattle, Washington and a brother, Howard Trapp of Kingston, Tennessee.
The family request that donations be made to the Alzeimizer's Association in lieu of flowers. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arraingements."
