Arnold J. Trammell, 56, of Huntsville, formerly of Winfield, passed away early Monday morning, September 10, 1990, at the Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness. He was the son of the late Dock and Josie Baker Trammell and was also preceded in death by three brothers: Willie, Edd, and Virgil Trammell. He was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Trammell is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Irene Neal Trammell; three sisters: Marie Davis of Butler, O., Geneva Smithers, and Beulah Jones, both of Pine Knot, Ky.; three brothers: Russell, Floyd, and Paul Trammell, all of Winfield; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Rev. A. V. Stanley and Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Special music was provided by the Neal Family and the Morris Adkins Family. Burial was in the Trammell Cemetery in the Gum Fork community. Serving as pallbearers were: Robert Morgan, Gary Smith, Sampson Smithers, Steve Smithers, Steve Neal, and John Foster. Jones and Son Funeral Home in Oneida was in charge of the arrangements.
