Lucille T. Alexander, 92, of Franklin Street, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker and was co-owner of Alexander's Cabinet and Appliance Centerfrom 1971 to 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school superintendant and was active with Four Seasons Mending.
In recent years, Lucille delighted in sitting on her front porch swing where she could enjoy her flowers, watch the birds and visit with family and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Daniel M. Cash officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Garland Brook
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Foundation.

Born in Greensburg June 3, 1918, Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of Irdo and Katherine Owen Towler.
She married Lotus W. Alexander, June 5, 1938.
Survivors include her children, Linda (James) Morford of Temperance, MI, Larry W. (Judith) Alexander of Columbus and Lois Alexander of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Karen (Matthew) Collins, Brian Kohler, Philip (Stephanie) Kohler, Jennifer (Chris) Shifflett, Amber (Justin) Helt, Lance Alexander, Christine Bozek Telgenhoff, Cathleen Bozek and Mark Bozek; and great-grandchildren, Rebeccah Collins, Nathaniel Collins, Josiah Helt and Reuben Helt. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 5, 1996, three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral for Lucille T. Alexander, 92, of Franklin Street, was conducted Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Dr. Daniel M. Cash officiating. Words of remembrance were given by Linda Morford and Karen Collins, scripture was read by Dr. Matthew Collins, organist was Donna Tull, pianist was Joyce Crowder and soloist was the Rev. Brian Kohler.
Burial was at Garland Brook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lance Alexander, Philip Kohler, Justin Helt, Chris Shifflett, Larry Swift and 2nd Lt. Rebeccah Collins. Honorary pallbearers were Nathaniel Collins, Mark Bozek and Homer Whited.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alexander died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at her home.
