RICHLAND CENTER - Florence Emogene Draheim, age 83, of Richland Center, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at the Richland Hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Richland Center, to Eldon and Florence (Mead) Toney. She married Clifford Draheim on Aug. 7, 1945. They farmed together until 1971.
Emogene was a long time and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Richland Center where she served as past president of Women of the Church. She also was a volunteer for the Richland Center Hospital Auxiliary. Emogene enjoyed bowling, gardening, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Emogene is survived by her two sons, John (Jolene) Draheim of Davenport, Iowa, and Charles (Deb) Draheim of Platteville; four grandchildren, Greg (Bobbi) Draheim of Davenport, Iowa, Mahyra (John) Carncross of Seattle, Wash., Ian Draheim of Champaign, Ill., and Holly Draheim of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Doretta Hansen of Richland Center, and Joyce Shaw of Beloit; a brother, Allen (Jean) Toney of Muscoda; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Emogene is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clifford; her parents; two brothers, Buford and Eldon; and four sisters, Marjorie, Glynnys, Beba, and Lavonne.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH with Pastor Ken Halstead officiating. Burial will follow in the Sextonville Cemetery.
