Dora A. Gonzáles was a lifelong resident of New Mexico.
Dora was born in Peralta, NM.
Dora passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on February 8, 2008.
Dora was predeceased by her loving husband, José O. Gonzales.
Dora is survived by her daughters, Dora Jean Gonzáles, Judy Reed and her husband, Jim Reed and JoAnn "Patsy" Vallegos and her husband, Joe Vallejos, her sons, John and his wife, Elisabeth Hoye, and Jimmy and his wife, Linda, grandchildren, Emma, Danielle and James Gonzáles, Joseph, Jeremy, JoAnna and Jack Anaya, Jillian and Jason Vargas, John Paul Vallejos, Jamie and Jade Reed, ten great-grandchildren, her two sisters, Cecilia Estvanko and Dorella Martínez, her brother, Alberto Toledo, sister-in-law, Mary Griego and her husband, Beltran Griego, as well as her extended community family and her special friend, José Aguilar.
Our beloved mother, nani, sister, auntie and friend, Dora was a loving person who spent a lifetime caring for others as a surgical and delivery nurse as well as performing volunteer work at her beloved North Valley Senior Center, where she lived for the themed dances.
Dora will be missed and remembered most for her passion for dancing and spending time with her family.
Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
