Springfield - Mrs. Bettye C. Allen, 70, died August 16, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Chatham County, but resided in Springfield for a number of years. She was a Deputy Sheriff with the Chatham County Reserve.
Survivors: her husband, George E. Allen of Springfield; sons, Phillip Allen and Thomas P. Todd, both of Springfield, James E. Todd and William R. Todd, both of Ellabell; daughters, Major Sandra-Carol Allen of Washington, DC and Theresa T. Kea of Garden City; brother, Ollie R. Todd of Port Wentworth; sisters, June T. Edwards of Garden City, Marian Tomme of Burnet, TX, and Jean Christensen of Fredricksburg, VA; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence.
Graveside Services: 1:00 p. m. Monday, August 19, at Hillcrest Abbey West, with Rev. Alan Kea officiating.
