Born Franciska Tisch in Elek, Hungary. She reigns from a long Schwabian family who emmigrated to Elek somewhere around the mid 1700's. She had 1 brother (Anton Tisch) who also grew up in Elek, but was forced into exile by the soviet hungarian governments purge of ethnic Germans in the late 1940's. Hungary went thru a 'hungarianization' of its people where citizens of german origin were either expelled from the country (or) they took up Hungarian names. Anton Tisch died in Ludwigsburg, Germany in the mid 1980's and is buried there.
