1927 - 2012 Jeanne, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on December 23rd, 2012.
Jeanne was born on March 13, 1927 to Robert Timms and Annie McCormick in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was close to her parents and sisters, Ellen Cline, Lucille (Richard) Williams, and Barbara (Glen) Treseer. On July 21st, 1945, Jeanne married Douglas N. Smith. Jeanne and Doug are the parents of three sons: Robert (Ann), Randy (Sandy), and Kevin (Vicki). They have 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. Jeanne's parents, husband, son (Randy) and grandson (Steve) precede her in death.
Jeanne worked at First Security Bank in Murray for many years. She and Doug loved to golf and travel with their special friends. She enjoyed being around people, especially her family. Jeanne was a wonderful, caring mother and grandmother. We miss her tremendously. Her sons wish to express appreciation for those who have helped her when things became more challenging: Amber, Ellen, Lucille, Stephanie, her wonderful neighbors and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 29th in the southwest corner of the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
