J.T. Timmons, 79, of the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester, died Sept. 19 at his daughter and son-in-law's home, Dolly and Chip Coale, in Upper Chichester.
Born in Meigs, Ga., to the late Jason and Florence M. Kelly Timmons, he worked for 40 years as a painter for Pritchard Painting Co. and D.B. Laughead Co.
In his spare time, Mr. Timmons enjoyed fishing, crabbing, playing his guitar and poker and visiting casinos.
He was the widower of Joanne Rose Timmons, who died in 1980.
Survivors: Daughters, Linda F. Ennamorato, Glenda Lioniti, Molly F. Coale, who provided his care, Dolly and her husband Chip Coale, who provided his care, all of Boothwyn, Brenda Wallin and Tina A. Minchella, both of Marcus Hook; brothers, Raymond, James, Gerald and Glen Timmons, all of Georgia; sisters, Lois Barfield and Mildred Timmons, both of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer.
Visitation: After 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Lower Chichester.
