Stella Marie Timmons, 90, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Marie was born June 27, 1925 in Bonne Terre MO the daughter of Fred Leonard and Effie Mayo Leonard. Marie was a graduate of the State School in Marshall MO.
She became an LPN and worked for 28 years at Fitzpatrick Nursing Home and Susan’s Nursing Home in Chillicothe
Marie married Benjamin (Benny) Gladstone Timmons on June 19, 1966 in Chillicothe. He survives of the home.
She was one of the original members of Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
Marie enjoyed growing all types of flowers and liked having a big garden. She enjoyed helping Benny with raising the chickens and caring for the cattle on their farm.
She is survived by her husband Benny Timmons listed above; 4 sisters-in-law, Mildred Wilburn and husband Charles of Chillicothe, Shirley Forsythe of Gladstone MO, Marilyn Harmon and husband Dan of Carrollton MO, and Marilyn Timmons of Blue Springs MO; two brothers-in-law, Cecil Timmons of Wheeling MO, and Paul Timmons and wife Carla of Twin Falls ID; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Billy Leonard; a sister Alva Louise; an infant brothers-in-law, Leroy Timmons and infant twins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in honor of Marie Timmons be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe Mo.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service (1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe Mo.
