Betty Timmons Apgar, 61, of Mooresville, N.C., died Friday, April 20, 2007, at her residence.

Mrs. Apgar was born in Tallahassee June 29, 1945 to Mary Brunson Timmons, of Bainbridge, and the late Jackson Lee Timmons Sr. She was a teacher at Brawley Middle School for 25 years and a member of Fair View United Methodist Church.

Survivors, other than her mother, include her husband, Richard W. Apgar,; two sons, Richard Apgar Jr. and wife Sarah of Banner Elk and Mark Apgar and wife Sylvia of Mooresville; one daughter, Cathy Cocolas and husband Anthony of Mooresville; one sister, Evelyn Knight of Bainbridge; one brother, Jackson Lee "Buddy" Timmons of Blakely; and four grandchildren, Abigail Apgar, Alexis
Cocolas, Sam Cocolas and Marcus Apgar.

Funeral services were Monday, April 23, 2007, at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Hamrick, Rev. Laura Hamrick and Rev. David Christy officiating. Graveside services will be today, Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Blakely Cemetery.

Cavin-Cook Funeral Home of Mooresville, N.C., and Ivey Funeral Home of Bainbridge are in charge of arrangements.
