Pekin, IL - Sharon B. (Timm) Carter, 57, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Pekin, passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at her home.


She was born April 21, 1952, in Pekin, Ill. She married Donald E. Carter on Dec. 18, 1971.


Proceeding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents and her sister, Deborah A. Burton.


Surviving are her husband, Donald; mother, Audrey (Joseph) Ercegovich of Sun City Center, Fla.; one son, Timothy (Morgan Gee) Carter of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, JoAnna (Jeremiah) Hindahl of Havana, Ill.; one grandson, Tevon Hindahl of Havana, Ill.; one brother, Robert (Cynthia) Timm of Kaneohe, Hawaii; four sisters, Veronica Sue (William) Calhoun of Astoria, Ill., Dianna (Wayne) Keiserman of Caramel, Ind., Gayla (Terry) Edwards and Donna (Steve) Ranney, both of Pekin, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.


Sharon was a medical insurance and billing specialist, last working August of this year for Dr. Kamish Patel of Sun City Center, Fla. She previously worked for Dr. Lynne Jalovec and Dr. Reid Hansen, both of Peoria, Ill., for several years.


Sharon was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin, Ill.


She loved to spend her free time cooking and being with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She often extended her hand in helping those in need and boarded many people in her home over the years. Sharon's life was all about giving to others and being there for her large family.
