WFT Vol 2 Ed 1 Tree 3251
Richard was a private in the American Revolutionary War with the North Carolina Militia. He is buried in Old Beech River Cemetery 1 1/2 miles North of Lexington, Tennessee, just off Huntingdon Highway on left. (The information about the revolutionary war could not be correct because he wasn't born until 1788. Perhaps they were referencing his father Francis who was born in 1758.)

Facts about this person:

Old Beech River Cemetary, Lexington, Tennessee

Was a corporal in Capt. Gideon Morgan's regiment under Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812. Morgan's regiment was mainly made up of Cherokee Indians. Fought against the Creek Indians at Horseshoe Bend, Alabama.
