Mr. Cecil Olan Tilton, age 69 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Mr. Tilton was a member of Montgomery United Pentecostal Church.
He was an avid sportsman and loved to be in the woods hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a wonderful Christian man who put God first in his life and was a great example of what a Christian should be.
Born Sunday, July 18, 1943 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Parents, Olan K. and Willie E. Tilton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 47 years, Joyce Ann Tilton; Son, Timothy Scott Tilton and wife Melissa; Son, Cecil Brad Tilton and wife Cindy; Daughter, Maria Fitzgerald and husband Kendall; Grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Devon, Casi, Rayna, Hunter and Heath and Brother, Vernon L. Tilton.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2012, at Montgomery United Pentecostal Church, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM , and again on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Montgomery United Pentecostal Church with Revs. Donald Givens and Robert Stroud officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Montgomery.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be John Tutor, Lee Tilton, Gavin Tilton, Randall Wyatt, Lavon Bass and Burt Lavespere.
Bobby Bates, Bobby Givens and Lynn Lavespere will serve as honorary pallbearers.
