Margaret Tillotson Andersen peacefully left this life while surrounded by loved ones and was reunited with her sweetheart Wilson Kay on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
She was born in Ogden, Utah on Valentine's Day in 1923 to Charles E. and Alta L. Tillotson. Margaret grew up in Brigham City and Ogden, Utah and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Weber College and Utah State University and remained a life long learner. Margaret and Kay lived in Provo, southern California, and Orem while Kay taught at Brigham Young University for 35 years. The last 15 years have been spent in Draper, Utah. Margaret loved her family, neighbors, and ward members as she served them through her various callings. She was always a diligent and caring visiting teacher. She and Kay served in the Hong Kong and Louisville Kentucky Missions.
Her children are: Randy Andersen (deceased) Sylvia G. Richins (Ross), Maren Turnidge (Kim), Aleta Taylor (Sherman), Orrin Andersen (Dianna), Charles "Chuck" Andersen (deceased) Julie O. Hancock (David). She has 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral April 28, 2014, 11:00 am viewing (from 9:30-10:45 am), LDS Chapel, 600 East 12300 South, Draper, Utah. Interment Ogden Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com.
