HOLDREGE, Neb. — Private services for Opal Doris Tillotson, 98, of Temple, formerly of Holdrege, Neb., will be held at a later date.
The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Tillotson died Saturday, Jan. 8, in a Temple nursing home.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1912, to Grant and Helen Anderson Hardesty in Eustis, Neb. On March 31, 1930, she married Virdie H. Tillotson in Woodbine, Iowa, and adopted two sons. They lived in Holdrege, where they owned and operated the Bruce & Magill Texaco Station. She worked in the cafeteria at Holdrege High School and Methodist Memorial Homes. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Degree of Honor in Holdrege. She moved to Temple in 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 20, 1971; and a son, Gary Tillotson.
Survivors include a son, Fredric Tillotson of Temple; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
The Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of the arrangements.
