Myrtle Tillman McGee Bailey, 94, of Moultrie, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010, at Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Weeks Chapel Church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ervin Crosby, Todd Crosby, Rodney Harrod, Jason Harrod, Michael Hiers, and Greg Greeson. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons Brandon Crosby, Chandler Crosby, Tyler Crosby, Austin Harrod and Ty Greeson.
Born Nov. 2, 1915, in Colquitt County, Bailey was the daughter of the late Thomas Tillman and the late Amelia Striplin Tillman. She was retired from Maule Aircraft and was a member of Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie McGee and Verdie Bailey; a daughter, Doris Geraldine Hiers; seven brothers, Arlie Tillman, Lawrence Tillman, Nathan Tillman, Lesslie Tillman, Willie Tillman, Harvey Tillman and Fred Tillman; and one grandchild, Tommie Hiers.
Survivors include a son, Dewey McGee of Norman Park; two daughters, Barbara Gauthier and husband John of Sparks, Ga., and Faye Harrod and husband Franklin of Norman Park; a brother, Marlie Tillman of Pavo; eight grandchildren, Michael Hiers, Todd Crosby, Ervin Crosby, Rodney Harrod, Karen Greeson, Jason Harrod, Ricky McGee and Patrick McGee; and several great-grandchildren.
