GLENNIS LEE ANDERSON - Monday - April 10, 2006
Chelan - Glennis Lee Anderson, 70, an eight-year resident of Chelan, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Central
Washington Hospital, Wenatchee.
She was born September 26, 1935, at Petley, New Foundland, Canada, the daughter of Basil and Grace
(Carberry) Tilley. She later resided in Michigan before moving to Entiat in 1947. She then moved to Chelan where she graduated from Chelan High School with the Class of 1954. Following her graduation, she attended a cosmetology school in California. She was employed as a cosmetologist in the Seattle area before returning to Chelan in 1998. Glennis was an avid antique dealer, loved gardening and slot machines. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Leah Anderson of Edmonds; a brother, Sherman Tilley of Everett; three grandchildren, Francis Vahdati, Sydney Vahdati and Ali Vahdati, all of Edmonds; her significant other, R.L. "Chub" Jackson of Chelan; and special cousins and family in New Foundland. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Dufner celebrant. Interment will follow at Fraternal Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at Chelan Eagles
Lodge #2218 afterward. Memorials may be made to Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
