Kathleen A. (Tierney) Clancy, age 87, of Brockton, died May 17, 2012, at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Francis S. Clancy. Kathleen was born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late James F. and Mary C. (Butler) Tierney. She was a 1942 graduate of Brockton High School, and been employed for 38 years by New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1980. Kathleen was a member of Mothers of Twins Club, former president of the Womens Auxillary of the Bertocci Club and longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers. She loved life and her family, and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gambling, trips to Las Vegas and her dogs. She is survived by her children, John F. Clancy and his wife Valerie of Middleboro, Patricia A. Donovan, Teresa A. Blanchette and her husband Gary, and Brian Clancy, all of Brockton; eight grandchildren, Kerry, Colin and Matthew Blanchette, Patrick, Colleen and Ryan Donovan and Norah and Megan Clancy; two great-grandchildren, Clancy and Riley Blandin and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kevin M. Clancy and sister of the late James, William and John Tierney, Mary E. Flynn, Helen M. Gaudette and Patricia Cornell. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday 4-8 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
