KILGORE - Services for Bernice Arnold, 84, Kilgore, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Howard officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under direction of Victory Funeral Services, Kilgore.
Ms. Thurmond died Nov. 28, 2008, in a local nursing home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Rusk County to the late Coy and Alberta Smiley Thurmond. She attended New Hope public schools and was a domestic worker and housekeeper. She lived most of her life in Kilgore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Halow "Dude" Arnold.
Survivors include her brother, Norman Eugene Rossum; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
