She was born December 27, 1947, in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Isaac and Reva Threet.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, James "Shorty" Asbery; children, James C. (Rebecca) Asbery II, Sherry Hughes, Victoria Asbery; grandchildren, James C. Asbery III, Allisha Asbery, Tyler James Asbery; step grandchildren, Austin, Savanna, Isaiah Arnold; great grandchildren, Haylee, Jaycee, Chloe; sister, Barbara Moore; and brother, Gregory Threet; and sister-in-law, Joan Asbury.
Her daughter, Lisa Asbery, and parents-in-law, George and Lillian Asbery, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in Concordia Cemetery.
