Karen Sue Burris
(November 25, 1952 - July 5, 2012)

Karen Sue Burris, 59, of Marseilles, passed away on Thursday July 5, 2012 at Rivershores Care Center in Marseilles.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. She was born November 25, 1952 in Ottawa to Sidney and Mary (Wheeler) Thorson.

She had been the business secretary for Linda Myre Interior. She was a bartender at Snug Harbor for many years and was the office manager at River City Apartments.

She is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Eric) Medler and Liz (Brent) Johnson both of Marseilles; four grand children, Gabi, Chloe, Mikayla and Taylor; one brother Larry Thorson of Utica; two nephews Larry and Brian Thorson and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law Judy Thorson.
