ANYONE FOR PUNCH AND COOKIES?

A lot of holidays and family get-togethers were celebrated in the large old Victorian house on South Raleigh Street, in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

My Grand Aunt Nell had a real knack for flower arranging, home decorating, and throwing a party. I remember how lovely her tables always looked. There was almost always a large crowd of family and friends at her parties.

Grand Aunt Nell had appetizers in several locations for the early arriving guests. I always went straight for the hall where the punch and cookies were kept. What a beautiful sight that was to one very hungry child.

No one could only eat just one of those crunchy golden brown Lacy Cookies. I'm sure that more than one person spoiled their dinner nibbling on those delicious cookies and all the other tempting goodies.
